Position: IT Coordinator
DOE Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office (NRLFO) — Mission Support Division
The Naval Reactors Facility Idaho Branch Office relies on dedicated, on-site IT support to keep personnel productive and connected across a wide range of hardware, software, and telecommunications needs. As the IT Coordinator, you will be the primary IT point of contact for personnel at the IBO, coordinating support requests, managing IT assets, and ensuring NRLFO's IT infrastructure and processes run smoothly.

About the Role
Key Duties
- Provide personnel at all locations with IT support by understanding requirements and mobilizing/coordinating support from site personnel; field general IT questions/issues and provide direct IT support.
- Execute employee on-boarding and off-boarding IT actions.
- Maintain a knowledgebase of current hardware and software in NRLFO to support maintenance, enhancements, and refresh cycles.
- Facilitate item delivery, asset tracking, installation requests, installation progress, product documentation, driver maintenance, and end-user feedback.
- Assist in the approval, installation, configuration, and ongoing support of software.
- Monitor status of open NRLFO Remedy tickets; assist in tracking, prioritizing, and resolving open tickets with applicable NR IT personnel to ensure resolution within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify IT-related trends and problems preventing NRLFO employees from accomplishing their work; recommend and coordinate solutions.
- Assist with telecommunications items (scheduling and troubleshooting) across voice, data, and video systems, including new/transferred employee telecom needs.
- Build/maintain documents tracking IT-related tasks and projects; deliver weekly briefings to NRLFO IT managers on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Develop, maintain, and document IT-related policies, processes, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, OR a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Project management experience.
- Microsoft certification or demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate technical ideas and concepts through verbal and written communications in a clear and concise manner.

- Strong customer service skills, coupled with strong teaming, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience proactively resolving issues and improving processes.
- Demonstrated prioritization abilities and capacity to work on multiple tasks and see them through to completion.
- Experience supporting employees by facilitating inter-departmental communications and interactions between internal and external parties.
- Knowledge of systems administration (Active Directory, group policy, etc.).
- Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
- Experience developing and implementing new policies and processes.
