Position Summary

Bailey Information Technology is seeking a Web Developer to support the USARCENT Public Affairs Office (PAO) as part of the Staff Augmentation Program. The Web Developer builds and maintains command website content, digital media products, and public-facing platforms in coordination with public affairs staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain command public affairs websites and digital content pages.
  • Update and publish content to content management systems (CMS) and DoD-approved platforms (e.g., DVIDS).
  • Collaborate with public affairs officers to ensure content accuracy, formatting, and release-worthiness.
  • Support development of graphics, multimedia integration, and accessibility compliance (Section 508).
  • Troubleshoot website functionality issues and coordinate with IT/network personnel as needed.
  • Assist in tracking website analytics and reporting audience engagement metrics.
  • Support social media page administration and content coordination as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional web development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and CMS platforms.
  • Experience publishing content in compliance with public affairs release and security review procedures.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Current Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a military Public Affairs Office or Command Information program.
  • Familiarity with DVIDS, Drupal, WordPress, or comparable DoD web platforms.
  • Basic graphic design or multimedia editing skills.

Security Clearance Requirement

This position requires a current, active Secret security clearance. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance level for the duration of the assignment in support of USARCENT.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Work is generally performed in a standard office or garrison environment. May require prolonged sitting, use of a computer, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Duties may require entry into austere or field environments as mission dictates.
