About the Role
Join the front line of homeland security support. As an Administrative Assistant , you’ll be the hub that keeps a high-impact law enforcement and security organization running smoothly. You’ll support regional leadership and staff who protect federal facilities and the people who work in them.
What You’ll Do
Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to regional leadership, supervisors, inspectors, and program staff.
Draft, edit, and format correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Enter, update, and track data in Government systems and spreadsheets to support reporting, taskers, and program oversight.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and training; manage conference room reservations and virtual meeting links.
Prepare agendas, notes, and action items and follow up with staff to close out suspense items.
Maintain electronic and hard-copy files, including Facility Security Assessment (FSA) documentation and other official records.
Assist with FOIA tracking, timekeeping support, travel coordination, supply ordering, and routine office logistics.
Support surge or emergency operations by providing extra administrative support during heightened security events or incidents.
What You Need
High school diploma or equivalent (some college or business/office training preferred).
5+ years of administrative/office support experience, preferably in a government, law enforcement, or security environment.
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat; ability to learn DHS/FPS systems (e.g., ITMS, GSA Fleet, LEIMS, GovTA).
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through in a fast-paced setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort interacting with all levels of staff.
