What you’ll do
  • Serve as a trusted SME providing hands-on support across all Special Program activities.
  • Drive lifecycle support “cradle to grave”: stand-up, maintenance, transition, disestablishment, and archiving.
  • Prepare, review, staff, and track program documentation (staff packages, MOUs/MOAs, appointment memos, classification docs, TK Annual Reports, site visit reports, metrics, MFRs, taskers, and more).
  • Ensure timely, accurate integration of Special Program requirements into day-to-day operations.
  • Draft polished recommendations, reports, and correspondence with complete administrative backing.
  • Produce comprehensive written risk assessments; support and track oversight actions.
  • Represent the program in community meetings/working groups; capture due-outs, requirements, and suspense dates.
  • Maintain accountability records (access rosters, PAR tracking, visitor/destruction logs, and other accountable materials).
  • Prepare, submit, and track Program Access Requests (PARs) and database actions (ICCARS, JADE, Scattered Castles, DISS, SDS, PULSE, etc.).
  • Track program accesses and conduct indoctrination/debriefings—from large-room sessions to senior 1:1s.
  • Collaborate across NGA (SI, A, S, ADO, OGC, FM, etc.), DoD, and IC partners to resolve issues and advance the mission.
  • Monitor security performance through metrics; maintain required records and communicate guidance to PMs/PSRs/ASOs/Control Officers.
  • Package and transmit program documentation per SCI/SAP policy; support and/or conduct site inspections (storage/AIS standards).
  • Develop and deliver briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enforce procedures for SCI CAPs, SAPs, and ACCMs in alignment with policy and regulation.
  • Create classification guidance and training (SCGs, indoctrination materials, annual CPI training).
  • Provide timely classification management expertise; foster best practices; innovate training and compliance techniques; maintain ties with ODNI/DoD classification communities.
What you’ll bring (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience applying EO 12333 & 13526, ICDs 906 & 705, and DoDM 5205.07 Vols 1–4 for classified NSI and Special Access Programs.
  • Successful completion of CDSE “Introduction to Special Access Programs (SAP 101.10).”
  • 3–5 years of direct experience supporting SAPs and/or CAPs.
Bonus points (Desired)
  • CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
  • Familiarity with Special Program systems/databases: JADE, DISS, Scattered Castles, ICCARS, PULSE, SDS/E2SP (and related tools).
Location & Work Environment
  • Primary Location: Springfield, VA (NGA – Washington, DC area).
  • On-site role supporting Special Program operations.
Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI with eligibility for SAP/CAP (polygraph preferred) or the ability to obtain/maintain CI Poly
Why you’ll love it here
  • Mission-driven work with real-world impact.
  • Collaborative, respectful team culture across NGA, DoD, and IC stakeholders.
  • Opportunities to lead, brief, and shape program security best practices.
