Own the Personnel Security pipeline. Lead, coordinate, and elevate case management for our customer. Personnel Security (PERSEC) mission—turning tasks into timely decisions, and metrics into measurable improvements.
What you’ll do
Lead & mentor: Manage Level 2 staff to execute the duties associated with SISP Position 19 and uphold PERSEC standards.
Deliver PERSEC support: Provide end-to-end case management to the established PERSEC program; ensure on-time responses to internal/external taskers, projects, and programs.
Run the day-to-day: Execute and maintain daily PERSEC operations through disciplined case management practices and SOP adherence.
Be the subject-matter go-to: Provide agency-level technical expertise on personnel security disciplines and SOPs; train case management contractor staff as needed.
Communicate with impact: Prepare, write, and present reports/correspondence; build and deliver PERSEC case management briefings.
Codify best practices: Research, prepare, and maintain security procedures/guidance supporting case management.
Engage leadership: Brief SISP leadership and key counterparts on program requirements, regulations, and case status.
Keep data clean & current: Update and maintain databases/files—including PeopleSoft (Investigations/Adjudication), SISP SharePoint, and internal SISP folders—in real time.
Be responsive: Address calls and emails promptly; maintain distribution lists so customers can reach PERSEC efficiently.
Escalate wisely: Surface case management issues to Government Team Leads and recommend improvements.
Drive continuous improvement: Propose innovative process enhancements that strengthen PERSEC case management and DNI reportability.
Report like a pro:
• Submit Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) to the Government Lead on the required template/timeline.
• Monitor case progress to meet IRTPA mandates.
• Manage assignment, tracking, reporting, and prioritization of cases per Government direction.
• Produce DNI Quarterly Metrics (deliver at least three business days before external suspense).
• Prepare SISP monthly metrics (deliver by the seventh business day).
• Elevate bottlenecks with solutions and pull metrics on request.
Maintain records with rigor: Keep tracking/status reports current in PERSEC shared drives; ensure latest versions are in external folders and archives maintain history.
Protect & organize information: Store metrics/reporting on COE/SBU per classification; ensure PeopleSoft entries are complete and accurate.
Make it findable: Inspect/document that all folders are clearly marked and searchable using the document-mapping criteria provided by Investigations and Adjudications Branch Chiefs.
What you’ll bring (Required)
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a field related to personnel security.
7–10 years of personnel security experience within the DoD/IC.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Extreme attention to detail applying personnel security case management methodologies.
Demonstrated clear, concise writing skills.
Excellent organization and time management to meet timelines and Federal Investigative Standards quality thresholds.
