  • Refresh content—update course materials, lab instructions, and scenario configurations.
  • Run the room—monitor concurrent labs; provision/reset learner environments; track attendance and participation.
  • Back up the bench—support train-the-trainer and provide on-demand help to AO trainers and learners.
  • Measure progress—capture learner performance data; contribute to AARs/RCAs; draft improvement suggestions.
  • Validate realism—integrate independent cyber tools; verify step-by-step exercises and expected outcomes.
  • Keep events smooth—deliver Tier-1/Tier-2 instructional troubleshooting within availability windows.
  • Reinforce fundamentals—networking protocols and firewall security throughout labs and post-lab reviews.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years delivering cybersecurity training or technical instruction (networking and firewall topics included).
  • 5+ years technical background in networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and firewall security (policy design, segmentation, NGFW/IDS/IPS integrations).
  • Experience facilitating virtual labs for 10–25 learners.
  • Certifications: CCNP and/or Zscaler certification(s) strongly preferred; equivalent vendor certifications considered.
  • Clear communication skills and a strong learner-support mindset.

Training content domains you’ll touch

  • Independent cyber tools integrated into the range for realistic threat scenarios
  • Simulated, multi-segment enterprise networks (e.g., app/database/email servers; switches/routers)
  • Concurrent scenarios/labs with multiple environments per user
  • Self-paced labs: threat hunting; network/endpoint/software security; offensive/defensive security; digital forensics; incident response
  • Core networking protocols & services (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Firewall security controls (policy design, segmentation, rule optimization, logging/monitoring; NGFW/IDS/IPS integrations)

Reporting & metrics

  • Capture and deliver metrics at team and individual levels (e.g., technical proficiency, participation) with crisp, actionable summaries.

Travel & schedule

  • Occasional travel per AO request.
  • Schedule aligns to training cohorts and AO time zones; the cyber range remains available 24×7 during training weeks and the week immediately after.
