Position Overview
We are seeking a Security Specialist (Skill Level 2) to support our customer’s Personnel Security (PERSEC) Case Management Team. This role provides operational support to personnel security programs through case management, data tracking, reporting, and customer support.
The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, Excel, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, maintain accurate security records, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management support for established Personnel Security (PERSEC) programs
  • Support execution and maintenance of daily PERSEC case management operations
  • Provide technical guidance related to personnel security policies, procedures, and standard operating practices
  • Prepare and deliver PERSEC program briefings as required
  • Prepare written reports, white papers, and official correspondence
  • Research and maintain security procedures and program guidance
  • Brief leadership and stakeholders regarding program requirements and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and update security databases and records including PeopleSoft, SharePoint, and internal tracking systems
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry related to personnel security case management activities
  • Respond promptly to phone calls and customer email inquiries
  • Maintain PERSEC customer distribution lists and communication channels
  • Identify and escalate case management issues to government team leads
  • Assist the government PERSEC team with recommendations for program improvements
  • Provide responsive customer service to internal and external customers regarding security case inquiries
  • Apply personnel security principles and practices to analyze and recommend solutions to complex security issues
  • Prepare and submit Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) using team templates
  • Monitor case progress to ensure compliance with IRTPA/DNI mandates
  • Manage case assignment, prioritization, tracking, and reporting

Metrics, Reporting, and Data Management
  • Develop and submit DNI Quarterly Metrics Reports
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, reports and leadership briefing slides
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Maintain tracking reports and status reports in PERSEC shared drives
  • Ensure proper version control and archiving of program documentation
  • Maintain metrics and reporting files in both secure and unsecure environments based on classification requirements
  • Ensure all case data is current and accurate in PeopleSoft Investigations and Adjudication modules

Additional Operational Support
  • Maintain organized and searchable case folders in accordance with investigative branch guidelines
  • Receive and process Electronic Deliveries (eDels) from customer Investigation Service Providers
  • Process and manage electronic fingerprint submissions in accordance with customer policies
  • Coordinate ink fingerprinting when electronic capture is unavailable
  • Process Other Government Agency (OGA) File Procurement Requests for National Agency Checks (NAC)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in personnel security or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in Personnel Security within DoD or Intelligence Community environments
  • Experience with RapBack enrollment/maintenance guidelines
  • Experience obtaining ink fingerprinting if electronic capturing is unavailable
  • Process Other Government Agency File Procurement Request for National Agency Checks (NAC)
  • Knowledge of PERSEC security regulations
Active Top Secret / SCI clearance
  • Strong administrative and Excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience managing security databases and case management systems
  • Strong written communication skills for reporting and documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet strict timelines and federal investigative standards
