Bailey Information Technology Consultants (BITC) is currently seeking an experienced Software/Web Developer to support our customer in Springfield, Virginia.
Support business processes that are located on NGANet/JWICs, SECNet, and SBU with primary usage on the high side. SBU instance will be available if business operations change to low side due to unknown future events (COVID, etc.)
Use COTS (ColdFusion), open source, freeware (Python, JavaScript, AngularJS, JavaScript frameworks, Django, Model Glue, etc.), HTML, CSS, SQL, database (MySQL, etc.), and SharePoint to support systems and associated applications located in test and operational environments:
G ATM Operations – Hosted in Enterprise non-cloud servers (Operations and Test environments).
Other Business processes
Assess the functionality and data storage capability.
Configure/modify/enhance the user interface and data source to effectively manage each process.
Migrate legacy data (if needed) from legacy data source and implement a new user interface under the NGA/G web presence to allow automated functions, workflows, and discoverability utilizing automated processes similar to G ATM.
Maintain and ensure availability of Baseline and Database
Support and maintain G ATM modules (Activity, WAR, Reports, etc), PUM, RAS, and associated automated business processes, to include troubleshooting and error resolution and incorporate changes as prioritized by the Government.
Utilize Enterprise agile project management tool (JIRA) to support and manage requirements that are prioritized by Government in streamlined backlog that is accessible to Government.
Support all phases of corrective, preventive, and adaptive maintenance that includes software upgrades, enhancements, fixes, testing, verification, and delivery of software.
Provide structured functional program code testing and management within the deployment pipeline.
Utilize Enterprise resources (GEOINT Services: Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) as needed to maintain functional requirements, test, maintain source code repository and appropriate Configuration Management controls.
Collaborate and work with Enterprise areas (Service+, Security, Risk Management A&A, GEOAxIS IdAM, Cloud, WebOps, PeopleSoft, CAVE, etc.) and facilitators.
Support Integration of data sources that includes utilizing APIs and Enterprise Services (PeopleSoft, GEOINT Services, etc.).
Collaborate with Enterprise (PeopleSoft, GEOAxIS, etc.) to ensure capabilities, services, active directories, and information are available.
Ensure appropriate PKI or other IdAM integration.
Package and test IAVAs (mission applications).
Support relational database, including SQL.
Ensure an engaging web-based experience and real-time, on-demand access to information.
Improve customer service functions as needed.
Create and manage workflows, forms, and modules to support automation of G business processes.
Create and maintain web application and visualization of mission required data.
Create/Manage/Troubleshoot schema-level processes for mission level data.
Troubleshoot system and database issues, errors, and provide bug fixes.
Support adaptive maintenance related to various updates, security patches, security scans, compliance controls, Enterprise Services, and other fixes required by NGA.
Coordinate and collaborate with the ISP on issues, latency, changes, backups, and outages.
Provide problem management and root cause analysis for mission application service.
Test updates via development servers prior to deployment.
Provide adequate testing (with impacted customers) prior to releases/updates.
Respond to site-specific questions from G user base and provide front-line support for technical issues and problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
Participate (virtual, phone, or in-person) in meetings with Government at least once a week for status updates and planning.
Support HD’s Risk Management Framework projects and ad hoc projects in all environments.
Required Skills:
Experience with relational database and performing database administration using SQL.
Advanced experience and proficiency with ColdFusion.
Intermediate experience working with JavaScript, AngularJS, JavaScript frameworks, Web Services, HTML, CSS, SQL, and MySQL.
Experience with NGA’s GEOINT Services, DevOps, and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
Experience with Enterprise Services such as PeopleSoft, GEOAxIS, etc.
Effective communication skills and ability to translate mission requirements to systematic functions and vice versa.
Experience with other languages as applicable (Python, Model Glue, etc.).
Desired Skills:
Experience in using NGA computer systems, non-cloud web servers, AWS cloud, security, and familiarity with the Enterprise computer network.
Experience within software/web development field with both government and/or commercial experience.
