We are looking for a Remote Sensing Scientist to join our team!

Apply remote sensing principles and methods to address R&D challenges in EO/IR imagery systems and image and video collection, including characterization and exploitation problems.
 

• Apply remote sensing principles and methods to analyzing data and solve problems.
• Develop new analytical techniques or new applications for existing systems.
• Provide scientific analysis and products collected from the exploitation of EO/IR and multispectral image (MSI) data.
•  Support informational briefings for the purpose of educating analysts and managers on the capabilities of spectral data and their potential application.
• Write scientific code using MATLAB or Python for clutter and noise mitigation, image reconstruction, tracking, detection, feature extraction and classification, stereo, machine learning, signal processing, and radiometric calculations.

 
This position is located in Springfield, VA.
 
 
Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with spectral remote sensing and image science
•  Experience with programming in Python, MATLAB, and tool development with ENVI/IDL
•  Active TS/SCI clearance
•  BA or BS degree

 
Additional Qualifications:

•  Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
•  BS degree in Image Science, Remote Sensing, or Physics preferred
